Overview

The Small Parcel Engineer plays a pivotal role in optimizing small parcel logistics within our supply chain, ensuring efficient delivery and cost-effectiveness. This position is integral to enhancing customer satisfaction through timely and accurate parcel management, collaborating closely with our logistics, warehouse, and customer service teams to streamline operations and reduce lead times.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and implement efficient processes for handling and shipping small parcels to enhance delivery speed and accuracy.
2. Analyze parcel data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings in shipping operations.
3. Collaborate with logistics providers to negotiate favorable shipping rates and ensure adherence to service level agreements.
4. Lead and conduct periodic audits of parcel handling processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
5. Develop training programs for warehouse staff to optimize parcel handling and packaging techniques.

Pay and Benefits

Compensation

$28 - $40 per hour

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or parcel management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
3. Proven track record in optimizing shipping operations and reducing costs.
