    Overview

    The Operations Supervisor is a front-line leadership role responsible for translating customer commitments and operational targets into consistent, safe, and efficient warehouse execution. Based in Roanoke, TX and reporting into site or operations management, this role oversees daily activities across receiving, inventory, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure throughput, quality, and on-time performance. The Operations Supervisor connects business objectives with workforce performance: they turn demand plans and service-level agreements into clear shift priorities, structured workflows, and measurable results. This position is accountable for developing a reliable, engaged team, enforcing standards, and driving continuous improvement so that the site can scale operations, meet customer expectations, and protect margins. Success in this role is measured by stable productivity, low error rates, strong safety performance, and a culture of accountability and teamwork.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations across receiving, inventory, picking, packing, and shipping.
    • Monitor and analyze shift-level performance metrics (e.g., productivity, accuracy, throughput, labor utilization, safety indicators)
    • Provide hands-on people leadership by setting performance expectations, coaching and developing associates, managing attendance and conduct, and executing corrective actions when necessary
    • Conduct pre- and post-shift meetings to communicate priorities, staffing plans, safety topics, and performance feedback.
    • Identify operational bottlenecks and process improvement opportunities, collaborate with operations and site leadership to test and implement changes.

    Compensation

    $65k - $70k

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, interpret, and apply written policies, work instructions, and safety guidelines in a warehouse environment.
    • 3+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations, including at least 1–2 years in a lead, team lead, or supervisory capacity.
    • Demonstrated experience managing a front-line hourly workforce, including scheduling, attendance management, performance feedback, and basic disciplinary processes.
    • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, safety, and service levels.
    • Working knowledge of standard warehouse processes (receiving, inventory control, picking, packing, shipping), and WMS exp.
