General Manager

Overview

The General Manager holds the critical responsibility of driving the overall operational and financial performance of the warehouse. This role establishes and executes strategic direction, providing leadership across warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and customer satisfaction. Serving as a strategic enabler, the General Manager integrates efficient process design with innovative solutions and performance measures to deliver continuous improvement and operational excellence, ensuring alignment with business objectives and exceeding customer expectations. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Finance, and senior leadership, to optimize processes and maintain a high-performance work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Provide leadership and strategic direction for all warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, storage, shipping, and inventory management processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• 2. Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs, such as labor efficiency, inventory accuracy, and inbound/outbound performance, while ensuring robust reporting mechanisms and adherence to budgetary constraints.
• 3. Cultivate a high-performance work culture by hiring, training, supervising, and developing warehouse staff; establish clear roles, expectations, and performance standards for the team.
• 4. Partner with Engineering and other stakeholders to design and maintain optimized warehouse layouts, product-placement strategies, and operational flow, achieving optimal efficiency and space utilization.
• 5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing operational pain points, documenting opportunities, and implementing solutions to elevate productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction metrics.
