    The 2nd Shift Shuttle Driver plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless movement of goods within UNIS's high-volume logistics operations. Operating as part of the company's elite transportation team, this position involves local shuttling between distribution sites, maintaining operational efficiency, and adhering to industry-leading standards in safety, service, and quality.     Key Responsibilities

    • 1. Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including shuttle trucks and yard goats, to transport goods between designated distribution points, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
    • 2. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle compliance with DOT regulations and address required maintenance for operational safety and reliability.
    • 3. Manage high-volume yard operations efficiently by coordinating vehicle movement and resolving logistical challenges during the 2nd shift to minimize disruptions and delays.
    • 4. Uphold rigorous safety protocols to protect people, products, and equipment while maintaining proper documentation aligned with DOT standards and internal company policies.
    • 5. Collaborate with dispatch teams and fellow drivers to provide clear communication on schedules, routes, and priorities, contributing to a cohesive and high-performing transportation network.

    Pay and Benefits

    Compensation

    $26 per hour

    Requirements

    • 1. Verifiable work experience as a Class A CDL Driver with a minimum of 2 years in comparable roles involving high-volume yard operations.
    • 2. Valid Class A CDL license with an acceptable DOT safety driving record and a current DOT Medical card meeting US Department of Transportation standards.
    • 3. Knowledge of DOT regulations governing hours of service, vehicle inspections, and maintenance, paired with practical experience implementing these guidelines.

    1. Proficient in the operation of Class A commercial vehicles and yard goat equipment, ensuring reliability and efficiency in transport tasks.
